Grant application process: Online application form

Your organisation invites charities to apply for grant funding and the entire process of receiving, evaluating and responding to applications is hugely time consuming. You are tracking everything in spreadsheets and communicating by emails which are not accessible to everyone in the organisation.

This is the first in a series of blog posts that illustrates how the entire grant process and more can be streamlined using Salesforce in conjunction with FormAssembly (online form app) and Drawloop (automated document generation app).

The net result is you get loads of time back which you can put to good use.

For those of you who find a process diagram useful, here’s the demo grant application process diagram.

Element 1: the online application form

Moving your application form online means that applicants can supply you with all the details you need and the information is saved directly into Salesforce.

Using Drawloop, an acknowledgement email is sent back straight-away with a copy of the application attached as a PDF.

Back in Salesforce, the grant administrator can monitor the list of newly received applications

And in a couple of clicks, assign a grant application to an Assessor for review.

The next blog will illustrate how the Assessor application review and score and submit their feedback and score
